The name of the site is not affiliated with any company, but more of a philosophy.  This website is the studio for me to share some of my knowledge with you.  Since some of the work I do is at the forefront of technology, this is the perfect place for me to share myself with you.

SolidWorks Routing Training:

Here you will find my Routing Manual for SolidWorks Routed Systems.  It provides training to route piping and tubing using SolidWorks Routed Systems.

Who am I?

Where do I begin?  Let’s just say I’m into technical illustration.  I believe the days of being called just a drafter or detailer are over, the term designer just doesn’t quite cover it, and what I do is so much more than just cad.

But if you go by my current job title, I’m the Sr. Designer / Detailing Manager for Lortz Manufacturing in Bakersfield, California.  We manufacture just about everything from piping to custom fabrication to fabric and metal expansion joints. (www.lortz.com)

I do solid modeling, parametric models, physical models, conceptual studies, conceptual design, technical illustrations, technical manuals, instruction manuals, details, 2D drawings, 3D drawings, assembly drawings, fabrication drawings, exploded views, facility layouts, P&IDs, 3D animations, conceptual renderings, photo realistic renderings, fly-bys, walk-throughs, multi-media presentations, and proposals in the following disciplines….Architectural, mechanical, Structural, Electrical, Aerospace, Piping and Civil.

I work for one of the largest steel fabrication companies in California, am the president of the Bakersfield Area User Group, a CSWP (Certified SolidWorks Professional), a CSWE  (Certified SolidWorks Expert) I also write a routing manual in my spare time, and have been know on a few occasions to teach breakout sessions at SolidWorks World.
